my co-worker friend was mentioning how hockey fans are the most passionate sports fans compared to other sports. my other co-worker (aka large, obnoxious buffoon) makes fun of me for often referring to ranger happenings as if i’m part of the team (ie: “we’ve” traded our captain). i happen to agree with the first co-worker. although growing up as a mets fan, i’ve often shed tears from the blue/orange as well. i cried so hard at the end of our 99-00 season and again during 2007. just as i do when the rangers don’t make it to the playoffs, or my favorite players are traded.
the video above is a prime example of just how passionate/emotional us hockey folks are, including the men. this video makes me cry so hard every time that i watch it.
