i’m so confused.
January 19th, 2020 @ 5:44 pm
in the year 2020, how do people just completely fall off the face of the internet?
now that i’m a working adult with a decent salary, i would like to buy things from certain vendors and makers that i couldn’t afford in the mid/late 2000s. perfect example: i just got lost in a damn wormhole trying to find judy of joodito.
i was cleaning out one of my bedroom closets, and i found two joodito jackets that i purchased when i was younger. i have no idea how i even pulled that off, because they were both $200 and over. i didn’t have money like that, i must have purchased those on tax refunds or some shit, lol.
anyways, i still love futuristic/modern shit and while i do stumble upon sellers on etsy that have these style jackets, but they’re just not the same. i often just often times just settle for weird nike jackets, but JOODITO JACKETS (and clothing)… lawd. they were fucking amazing.
what’s confusing the shit out of me is that she just is NOWHERE… like, not on any social media that i can find. i did find an email address maybe she still uses, but i feel like that’s taking it a step too far. i remember when she was still active on etsy, she turned on the “shop is taking a short break” message, but i figured it would be temporary. since then, there’s been no update. same ol’ “short break” aka, like almost a decade?
just *POOF* she’s completely vanished.
her clothing was right alongside the style and quality of early supayana pieces. i DREAMED of someday filling my closet with pieces from them. upcycled, weird, rad, LONG, modern pieces. nowadays, yana is just doing kids clothing… aka my dreams have been shattered, lol.
anyways, if you’re not familiar with what judy’s pieces looked like, here are some timeless, and amazing samples.
JUDY WHERE ARE YOU?!
the fashion world is way less cool without you in it!
bloated classics…
September 23rd, 2015 @ 4:13 pm
so recently, i thought to buy a pair of these jammies… i haven’t purchased a new pair of navy or black ones sinceeeeeeee…. 2005(ish)? they were my raver jams back in the day. they’re super comfy and match with everything and are appropriately named (*classic!*)… but was confused as to their current cost.
i used to buy these at modell’s for $20 because nobody wore/wanted them… i just found them on the reebok website for nearly $60. are they back in style or something?
deodorant update!
February 25th, 2015 @ 11:12 am
i haven’t posted with an update about the deodorant > primal pit paste switch since november – i wanted to be fair with the timing. for a lot of people, their pits have to detox, and i wanted to make sure i gave it adequate time to see if i would or not, and the outcome afterwards with some time.
SO!!!!…
i didn’t go through detox *WOO!*, butttttttt i did feel the effects of high ph balance of baking soda. i would get SUPER itchy (SOMETIMES) after applying it, and my skin would get red and would have a burning sensation if i applied it directly after shaving (lesson learned). i started shaving my pits at night (that’s usually when i shower anyhow) and waiting to apply in the morning, which i thought was plenty of time. apparently, that is not the case – but it’s not all of the time, but i wasn’t in the mood to deal with finicky a product. i didn’t realize i could get a lighter version of the primal pit paste that i was using, and i hated the red discoloration of my skin, so i switched over to EO organic deodorant.
EO doesn’t have baking soda, which was good for me – but it’s a spray vs. something you rub on. it’s oil based, and i find it’s irritating to have wet pits that you have to wait to dry (so it doesn’t get on your clothing). i also hate that you have to reapply later in the day. i’m a stinker vs. a sweater, so i definitely have to (and do not want to). i didn’t have to deal with that, with primal pit paste AT ALL.
the EO smell isn’t horrible, but it just reminds me too much of my lavender dr. bronner’s soap, which i ditched over a year ago. no offense to anyone into that natural/organic/oil/hemp/etc. smell, but i was sick of smelling like a hippie, so there’s also that.
i purchased a lil tub of the light lavender vanilla PPP, and i’m hoping for the best. i really want to go back to PPP without dealing with the irritated/red aspect of things.
i really don’t want to be THAT GIRL pushing products, but seriously – it’s good stuff. i never want to go back to regular deodorant! if you’re thinking of switching, click here (A – you’ll get 15% off and B – i’ll get reward points, woo!). i started out with the smaller/sample jar and it lasted me 2/3 months, so you should totally go with that, just to see if you like it.

November 4th, 2014 @ 12:24 pm
so after all these years, i’ve decided to give up on deodorant. i mean your average drug store, aluminum-filled deodorant…
i am totally not one of those natural, paraben-free, blah blah blah vegan-y hippie people (no offense if you are, i just don’t make this a priority when using/buying things), so i’m not getting preachy about this product. this is just a review/telling you about it, because it’s kind of wonderful… i also enjoy natural stuff when it actually works.
one of my co-workers was telling us that she’s got a subscription to a box – like birchbox – but natural stuff (i forget the name, sorry!). she said she received a sample of primal pit paste, and loved it. i know, the name alone is like ewwww, what?! – but after reading tons of reviews that were mainly positive, i gave it a go. three of us co-workers decided to try it out and purchased small, sample jars. we’re all pretty satisfied with the results so far.
the girl with kaleidoscope TOMS
June 18th, 2014 @ 12:01 pm
is it okay to blog about dumb shit likeeee… about which TOMS i just purchased?
the pressures of consistent blogging are so silly (also: in my own defense, i’m pretty boring). i really miss going through endless blogs online and keeping up with amazing, inspiring people. tumblr and instagram have made us all lazy… i don’t want to look at posts only containing pictures, i want words.
all of my go-to blogs haven’t been updated in 1-3 years and i find that very discouraging. i think to myself “posting about shoes you just purchased is a waste of a post”, but is it really? maybe not. maybe someone will like these shoes and also go purchase them (maybe not).
whatever, at least you know i’m alive and being “stylish“. #AMIRITE
hockey, hockey, hockey, UNF UNF UNF.
September 7th, 2013 @ 10:33 pm
i’ve been making general hockey/new york ranger fan shirts — these are the brainstorms between myself and the help of my BFF lauren and my boyfriend mike. at first, i was trying to gear things towards more anti-puck bunny females that actually know what they’re talking about where hockey is concerned, but i thought to myself, why limit the “brand”? i think dudes should be wearing my shirts also!
(i’d like to thank glassbangers and sec406 for inspiring me ages ago to make these.)
anyhoo, i tend to stick to my own team, but am open to working on shirts for other teams. holler if you’re interested!
oh, and i apologize ahead of time for the prices on that website. i have a few printed though, they are pretty nice. i think they’re so expensive for the most part, because i have them set to sell on the athletic shirts. you can change the style/colour to drop the price a bit.
LET’S GO RANGERS!
24 days until hockey!

JESS HERE…
at the beginning of this year, i started making earrings with lyrics/words/quotes on them… obviously i can’t fit all that inspires me on 3″ diameter hoop earrings, so i took to the t-shirt template. i have been compiling ideas for new york ranger fan shirts for like 2/3 years that i never put to use, so a couple of weeks ago, i just opened photoshop and went with it. i currently go through a website “redbubble(.com)” because i don’t exactly know if the t-shirt business would even take off – t-shirt companies are a dime a dozen these days… either way, i am not trying to step on anyone’s toes – i want to have fun/hitting close to home/true-fan shirts, and this is just my way of paying homage through something that i love – graphic design.
ANYWAYS… i met michelle via instagram at some point in the last few months and we connected on the wu-tang front. i make earrings and she does (amazing) cross-stitch pieces paying wu-tang homage. she’s been on the wu-tang blog before, she’s no stranger to wu-exposure and she included me in my first batch of wu-tang shirts. yeah, i’m actually being featured on the wu-tang blog, insane.
#JAEJESS // wu-tang earrings
December 11th, 2012 @ 3:33 pm
i swear, i need a damn intern, lol.
i have been thinking about how i don’t really market #JAEJESS products enough. i’m always thinking about how we should have a twitter and/or at least a facebook for more exposure. We started this whole thing on instagram, so that’s the only place that we’ve been doing any type of marketing.
if you follow me on IG, you’d see a lot of the stuff that i’ve been doing post-pop-up shop has been wu-tang related… it’s my biggest seller (i mean c’mon, it’s the wu…), so i’ve been trying to have more options for people where the clan is concerned. i made some black and yellow earrings and started creating some cool pin combos for earrings.
i have only posted seven pairs on the site so far, but one is actually a templated pair of hoops and you get to choose which pins you’d like… there are ten to choose from at the moment. i feel like it’s kind of OD and i want to start posting other stuff that i’m making also, but i want to get these wu-tang earrings out there in the world.
click here to see the ones that i currently have in the shop.

lesportsac love
October 25th, 2012 @ 12:10 pm
i haven’t been impressed with lesportsac since this time, last year… but yet again, they have seriously captured my interest with the upcoming winter products.
there are quilted bags and swarovski crystals adorning some of the upcoming platinum collection and the second installment of the manoush line is gorgeous also.
so. hyped.
[click the images for the larger versions]
the purple manoush tote instantly reminded me of one of my favorite graff chicks elle (i fell in love with her cursive tag).
ohhhhhh, snap!
July 28th, 2012 @ 8:11 pm
…my week in pictures.
lauren and i decided to get together on thursday night for shopping and some after work drinks. we also decided to do this right before a huge storm brewing over NYC… this was just moments before shit hit the fan and we ducked into the bowery electric for cover.
sanrio lovers
November 19th, 2011 @ 12:26 am
one of my favorite jewelry designers, steven shein (neivz) has collaborated with sanrio to come out with a fun new line. i don’t really wear rings that often, but i’d totally rock the big, flat, red bow ring and the double finger twin stars jammy. i LOVE LOVE LOVE little twin stars<333
soooooooooooooooo cute. check out the pic after the jump, buy the collection here.
sold out
November 1st, 2011 @ 3:45 pm
am i the only person that finds it REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING when online shops show an item, yet it’s sold out?
when i see “SOLD OUT” items, especially a bunch of them, i click the little X never to return. if you aren’t using paypal and/or maintaining your own website, why would you have an e-comm system that didn’t remove inventory automatically? in the year 2011, you’ve gotta have a system that alerts you that an item with final piece inventory sold, where you can remove it if it isn’t automatically removed…
i feel like people are just being obnoxious and showing what they had that sold, that someone didn’t get to quickly enough and now they’ll never be able to.
bitter much?
no, honestly this shit just irks me. i haven’t missed out on anything specific that i wanted, thankfully…
irrational much?
maybe. but i also think i may be right.
sidetracked
September 14th, 2011 @ 1:57 am
i came online to do one thing… open itunes and add even more new music on my phone that i just downloaded. what did i end up doing???
i lost a half an hour to tumblr, then hunting down this cardigan from a french website that i had found today, then strolled over to the fred perry website and created a wishlist after browsing, i found a cool picture of glitter drenched pumpkins on tumblr and decided that i need to do this asap, i started looking for other halloween decorations i could buy (especially a few that i missed last year) and THENNNN just remembered that i really need to get into the shower and get the damn comforter out of the dryer.
and NOW, i’m posting this… lol.
stupid interwebz.
score!
July 30th, 2011 @ 2:58 am
so, amy…
of course i was one of those assholes that was like “oh you didn’t see it coming?”, and now i feel awful for thinking that way. there are talks on the news about her dying from a seizure because she was quitting drinking cold turkey… how ironic and totally sad if that is the case. at any rate, i wasn’t a total hater and i was always a huge fan of her style, and especially the fashion lines that she did with fred perry.
i guess i didn’t buy anything from the lines at first because i was still giving my mother money, so i didn’t have much spending cash because of living on my own… but i always had my eyeballs on the fred perry stuff and i cruise ebay here and there. thankfully, i hit up the fred perry website before the “collectors” and/or (ebay seller) assholes started grabbing it all up after she passed. i do regret not specifically buying four of the shirts, but it’s not the end of the world.
i have two shirts that i paid very little for, and i’m thankful that i got my hands on them before websites jacked up prices. soon, those shirts will be gone. so i’m glad i got them when i did<3
this was amazing of her father, SERIOUSLY awesome.
hopefully he will allow fred perry to release the other three lines that they had lined up.
i’m sure if they do release them, they’re going to be snatched up quickly, i’m going to have to keep my eyeballs peeled and the ears open.
RIP amy<3

okay well the new new fall line came out, i couldn’t help myself. in fact, this is turning into a dirty, dirty addiction… but at least i’m helping three kids in need of shoes!<333 and it doesn’t hurt that there was free shipping available for two days, how could i not pass it up? i mean, the shipping is an annoying $10 fee each time… someone needs to help me stop buying shoes!!!
these are my newest additions<3 (for autumn) ¡uno – dos – tres!
