iiiiiiiiii don’t think we had to slut shame anybody, but i still love the line. i love the vibe of this song so much… any time i hear it, my brain instantly thinks it’s what old NYC feels like, if that makes sense. it was probably was the best era of NYC – the 1970s-90s.
while i wasn’t alive for the 70s, i fully remember NYC in the 80s/90s. the city was so much more raw and pure then. i’m not simply romanticizing it… sure, we had even crankier idiots, drugs and crime was running rampant and the city was altogether sleazier, but the entire vibe was just so different. raw energy, art, possibilities and LIFE… now it’s full of shit. it’s fuckin disneyland!
