i had mike and i buying $5 quick picks, lol.  i didn’t think going overboard was going to up the chances especially since we wouldn’t buy over $20 at most…  i figured if i were fated to win the lottery, i’d have to deal with the $5 draw of luck.  which obviously didn’t prove in my favor since i didn’t win diddly squat.

if i did in fact win, i think these would be the first ten things that i’d do.

1. gather up family/friends for vacation. decide on a warm, mexican vacation exactly what would be done in the near future with my winnings.
2. pay off all of my family’s debts and my own (which are like, nothing, thankfully.  i honestly only think that i owe time warner cable like $30, lol.).
3. build a house. not buy… build.  and house my family on the same land if they wanted… i’d totally build a compound.
4. buy a photobooth for my home, install display walls with wallpaper that are controlled by computer, have tube slides built in throughout the house.
5. get my teeth fixed up – in desperate need of invisalign for my bottom teefs :\
6. LASER REMOVAL OF ALL HAIR BELOW MY NECK.
7. donate money to charity, and select friends.
8. buy an amazing apt in the city.
9. save/invest money.
10. travel?

i guess it was kind of hard to figure out what i’d really want to do if i did actually have that money. i got super out-of-ideas towards #8.  i would say i’d keep working and be an average shmoe… but i mean, i’m not even working full-time at the moment, lol.  i would totally start-up the web development company i’ve always dreamed of for myself if i could. i would totally still work on websites for fun!

what would you do?

not having a computer for a bit really took a hammer to getting freelance work done.  i completed a wedding website for my cousin in less than a day (woo! productive!), now i’m working on my friend kelly’s website to showcase her tattoo/art portfolio.

while i was eating dinner, i watched a show tonight that i have never heard of called “undercover boss” (clearly the CEO of a company goes undercover to see what their workers are all about).  i watched the episode with the yankee candle company’s CEO, harlan kent, going undercover to work at their flagship store, their factory, and two of their other retail locations.  he was focusing on one employee from each location, and getting to know them.  human-interest stories type of a show. honestly he was so good to those people, and it actually made me cry.

there’s more info here… i know people my age are usually out on friday nights, but it’s worth checking out if you’re into that kind of a show and just so happen to be home

my boyfriend and i went to florida and back since last i posted

i made some earrings and did my nails a few times… as per usual…  (i lead a super exciting life in the winter, ey?)

my website to sell my earrings is almost done, so i can begin selling them! i haven’t been posting them here at all, i’ve been posting them up on instagram… sorry!

i bought the amityville horror from the new age section at B&N. this was on display… i’m glad i’m not the only one who has ever considered this.

my sister and i went out for lunch a couple of weeks ago. this building was where my pediatrician was situated for YEARS when i was a child. i used to hate being here, obv. but it’s comforting to see that the building/doors/everything is exactly the same from then.

we call this “the witness protection program”. he sleeps like this often.

for this set o’ nails, i cut the side of the scotch tape strips. if you have different fancy scrap booking scissors, you could use those to go straight across also for different shapes.  i just went with this because i was feeling kinda 80′s/90′s or something?

honestly, it was a pain in the balls to do and i probably won’t do it again. sometimes the triangles i cut wouldn’t get to sharp points kind of rounded/squared, additionally the tape template would break and i’d while i was removing it after applying the black.  it’s because the piece was too thin and the polish was too heavy…  i had to fight to get it off with tweezers twice because of how small of a piece was left behind…

it’s also kind of hard to get the triangles even close the same size/shape. maybe it’s because i have fat/heavy ikea house scissors…?

i thought this would be super easy, and i guess in theory it may have been if i’d been a little more patient. it was also the first time i’d done it, so i don’t know why i’m so complainy, lol.

the boys won another game… obviously. #1 spot in the NHL! (i LOVE LOVE LOVE when the team wins and they do helmet to helmet taps with henrik<3)

babe and i went to the meatball shop in brooklyn! #UNF so so so so good.

i found my old gameboy camera this week. it held pictures from when i was a teenager, pictures from when i worked at the video store, and some “newer” ones including older me, lil jon and steve.

we got dessert for babe’s sister and for ourselves at fabianes cafe. i got some delicious tiramisu.

my boyfriend and i play iphone scrabble while sitting this close to one another. #nerds

i went to work in the office twice last week, it felt great to be there instead of working from home. it totally gave me the excuse to pick up some indian food, while i was there… #MMM
this is a side dish of aloo gobi. it’s a dish consisting of cauliflower and potatoes. so delishhhh.

back in the 70′s, this guy “butch” defeo killed his entire family – both of his parents and his four siblings. from what i gather, he claims it was his sisters idea and that she helped in the murder but ended up also being murdered – and found in a naturally sleeping position (under the covers and all).  he also said that voices told him to kill his family, but there are so many inconsistencies over the years that no one seems to know the real story. he does claim that there were no paranormal things going on growing up.

moving along, the next family that moved in a year later, the lutz’s are the family that claimed all of the paranormal stuff had happened.  i never knew that there was a whole controversy about the lutz’s being “liars” and making up the entire story.  the family that lived in the house after the lutz family claims there is absolutely nothing paranormally happening, or has ever happened in the house.  for me, that takes away from the potential scariness of the book.  i think i’m going to read it anyhow, but it boils down to paranormal activity and whether it really exists or not.  personally, i’d never want to find out, lol…  but if it really does, that’d be crazy if the lutz family did actually have to deal with that.

other than all of that, when it gets cold out, my social life usually just shuts down.  i hate being outside in the cold! although, i did recently get to hang out with the amazeballs online friend chris for his birthday last week. i met him on le twitter a couple of years ago…  FINALLY made it out while he was in NYC (he’s connecticut based), lower east sided it! got saucy, hung out with his stuntman cousin, had pancakes at like 4AM… we had a blast
